Switching ERPs

Switch to CycleWright from the ERP you have

Moving starts with your data. Export it from the system you use today and CycleWright's import reads it: it knows each system's column names, shows exactly what will change before anything does, and can undo an import. We move your data for you as part of setup.

Column names come from each system's usual exports and screens. Companies customize their systems and reports, so anything the import doesn't recognize is matched by hand once and remembered for the next file.

How an import works

  1. Drop the file. Excel, CSV, or a system's "Export to Excel" file. A workbook with several sheets becomes one batch, imported in the right order.
  2. Match columns. Each column is matched to a field by its heading: your earlier matches first, then the system's own column names.
  3. Preview. The whole import runs and is rolled back, so you see exactly what will happen: new records, each change, rows skipped, and errors with the reason.
  4. Match values. Units, part types and statuses the import doesn't know are listed once, with their row counts. Your answers are remembered.
  5. Import. It runs for real, in one transaction. Blank cells never overwrite what's there.
  6. Undo if needed. An admin can undo an import until its records are in use.

What comes over

48 record types, in six steps, so each step can refer to the one before. For example:

StepRecords
1Customers, suppliers, inventory locations, employees, gauges, audit checklists, risks, quality objectives
2Parts (with revisions) and tools
3Ship-tos, quotes, parts made by each tool, bills of material, routings, supplier prices, control plans, PM plans, skills, documents, PPAPs, PFMEAs
4Open sales orders and purchase orders, jobs, NCRs, work orders, training records, calibrations, audits, complaints
5Releases, inventory on hand, work order tasks, corrective actions
6Corrective action steps

Inventory comes over one container per row, with its lot, location, hold status and the old system's label serial, so labels already on the floor still scan.

The switch plan

The ERP's switch plan lays out the move: what to bring over and in what order, how to get each list out of the old system, a cutover checklist, and totals to compare with the old system before you go live (record counts, inventory quantity and value, open order lines and releases, open purchase orders).

We move your data for you

Setup is a fixed price with a go-live date, in writing before you sign, and we move your data for you. If something in your old system doesn't fit how CycleWright works, we change the software, not your process; tailoring the ERP to your business is never billed. How pricing works.

Your data stays yours

Every record type exports to Excel or CSV with the same columns the import reads, and company admins can export everything at once. The REST API covers everything else.

Frequently asked questions

Which systems can CycleWright import from?

Plex, DELMIAworks (IQMS), Epicor Kinetic, Infor SyteLine, Infor VISUAL, Global Shop, JobBOSS², E2, Made2Manage, SAP Business One, Business Central (NAV), NetSuite, Acumatica, SYSPRO, QuickBooks and Odoo, plus any CSV or Excel file. Column names come from each system's usual exports; anything the import doesn't recognize is matched once by hand and remembered.

Can we undo an import?

Yes. An admin can undo an import from the import history: it deletes what the import created and puts back what it changed. It refuses once the new records are in use, such as a part on an order or a job.

Will the labels already on our containers still scan?

Yes. Inventory imports keep the old system's label serial on each container, so labels already on the floor still scan.

Do we have to switch everything at once?

No. You can start with machine monitoring next to your current ERP and switch the ERP when you're ready. The switch plan has a cutover checklist and totals to compare with the old system before you go live.

Can we get our data out again?

Yes. Every record type exports to Excel or CSV with the same columns the import reads, and admins can export everything at once.
